Mary's Mementos

Welcome. Around 1943 my grandmother Mary Cowan (née Kent) worked as a clerk with the British Purchasing Commission, which arranged the purchase and commission of armaments for the United Kingdom during World War II. While she was based in Washington, D.C. she took many trips to New York and elsewhere in the United States, and during that time created an album collection of ephemera. It consists of program guides, postcards, pamphlets and other kinds of mementos from various destinations such as Rockefeller Centre, the Smithsonian, the Statue of Liberty and Radio City Music Hall.

This will be the main page. The image upload page shows off a second layout I will be using. There is also more information on this website in the about page.
